Find out what Amazon offers baby brands at the Baby Products Association’s post-AGM event!

If you’ve always fancied meeting the Amazon team face-to-face to find out how your brand can work with this online giant – Wednesday 19th June is your opportunity!
The Baby Products Association confirms its final seminar speaker of the day at its annual FREE networking event, as Salma Boutarf, senior vendor manager baby products, Amazon UK. Salma will explain the key initiatives that Amazon Retail /1P is offering to baby brands and will share hints and tips for achieving success on Amazon. More specifically, she will talk about how the nursery industry can work with Amazon to remove non-compliant and counterfeit products from the website.
Dynamic generation
Also on the day, Nick Richardson and Sophie Tanner from The Insights Family will share key market research information on the spending behaviour of this generation, which it claims is like no other. Parents and kids are now super-informed and constantly connected meaning they are more financially empowered and influential than ever before. The attitudes, behaviour and consumption of this generation is far more dynamic than previous generations and Nick and Sophie will identify some of the latest trends which the baby products industry needs to be considering.
Product safety
If you manufacture products, James Birch of SGS will share an informative presentation on the EU General Product Safety Directive and explain the challenges surrounding constantly evolving product safety. This will include new technologies, growth in online sales, inconsistencies surrounding complex market surveillance rules, the lack of efficiency in product recalls and the need to align regulation provisions to ensure standardisation has led to the need for an update to the EU General Product Safety Directive (GPSD).
Finally, Luke Burns of Cybex will give an update on R129 Car Seat Regulations and explain the implications for UK companies manufacturing car seats and retailers selling them.
This FREE networking and seminar event takes place at the Wellington Hotel by Blue Orchid, Wellington Hall, 71 Vincent Square, London, SW1P 2PA on Wednesday 19th June 2024 from 15.00 hrs to 18.00 hrs and is open to everyone in the nursery industry.
