The Baby Products Association would like to announce the appointment of Robert Anslow as its' new Managing Director.

Robert has been the Retained Technical Consultant to the BPA for a number of years and has a wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge of the industry. Robert commenced his career in 1971 when he joined the family business, manufacturing nursery goods. In 1991 he established his own nursery import company, Nursery Needs.

Robert has many years of experience in managing nursery trade events. He has been Chairman of Harrogate Toy and Christmas Fair and is now their Financial Director. Robert also organises the industry’s leading nursery trade event, Harrogate Nursery Fair, which is now in conjunction with the BPA.

Robert chairs and represents the BPA on many Committees involved in standardisation work in Britain and in Europe and has gained considerable experience in dealing with Trading Standards. In addition, Robert is a highly regarded safety consultant who has worked closely with BPA members. Robert has acted as an expert witness on behalf of many members and other companies in court cases over a range of safety issues concerning nursery products.

Robert commented on the appointment: "I am delighted to take up this appointment and look forward to working on behalf with the Baby Products Association. I greatly admire the work the Association has done for the industry and am committed to promoting the nursery products sector in the UK and Europe.
