More about the BPA...Last chance to join the UK Pavilion in Cologne
The UK Pavilion at Kind + Jugend , Europe’s largest nursery trade show which takes place in September, is almost sold out and the Baby Products Association (BPA) advises anyone still hoping to participate to get in touch as soon as possible.
Adrian Sneyd, UK Pavilion organiser, comments: “Demand for the UK Pavilion has been unprecedented and while many companies left their stand bookings until just a few weeks before the show in 2010, doing so this year will certainly lead to disappointment.”
With over 40 companies already confirmed, including names such as Hippychick, Cosatto, Merino Kids and Trunki, there is just enough room to squeeze a couple more small stands in – and with Kind + Jugend organisers reporting an almost booked out show this year – participating in the UK Pavilion may be the last opportunity for many British companies to take part.
“There are numerous benefits from being part of the UK Pavilion,” explains Adrian, “the BPA not only helps with the logistics of exhibiting overseas, which often makes attending such a large overseas exhibition slightly daunting, but we have also managed to secure TAP funding for the majority of companies participating and may well be able to access further grants for UK Pavilion exhibitors.
“Importantly, companies on the UK Pavilion present a united British presence with eye-catching branding which is guaranteed to draw in visitors. This is hugely beneficial to smaller companies, which might otherwise be ‘lost’ in the vacuous halls of the Koelnmesse Exhibition Centre.
“Use of UK’s Hospitality area is also free for UK Pavilion participants,” continues Adrian, “and this proved extremely popular last year with a number of well-attended networking events for the duration of the show.
“Finally, the BPA offers free marketing opportunities to all UK Pavilion exhibitors in the run up to the show, including regular e-bulletin newsletters which are sent to almost every major buyer and retailer in the UK, many of which will be attending the show.”
