More about the BPA...TAP funding grants for Kind und Jugend have now been allocated and the BPA advises that it is highly unlikely that there will be further assistance offered by UK Trade and Investment (UKTi) for 2014. UKTi reduced the number of individual grants for European shows to just 40 this year, and the criteria has been tightened.
Adrian Sneyd, UKTi co-ordinator on behalf of the BPA, said: “In previous years, the BPA has been able to secure further funding to accommodate all exhibitors at Kind und Jugend (69 grants in 2013). However, we are advised that this is not possible for 2014 and as we are already oversubscribed with applications, the UKTi will allocate grants according to its own criteria. We will advise the successful companies as soon as possible. ”
There are still a limited number of individual grants available for companies participating in the UK Pavilions at CBME, Shanghai and ABC Kids Expo, Las Vegas - £3,000 and £2,000 respectively – so if you are still considering attending either of these shows you are advised to submit your application as soon as possible.
