More about the BPA...Magmatic, makers of Trunki - the infamous wheeled case for kids, has become the latest company to affirm their status as a leading nursery supplier by becoming a full member of the Baby Products Association (BPA).
The company shot to fame in 2006 when the creator of Trunki, Rob Low appeared on Dragons' Den and has since become known as "the one that got away" after achieving huge success despite being turned down by the investors.
Three years on Trunki suitcases are seen in airports across the world as parents have embraced the concept and bought their little ones the case that is strong enough to ride on. Since those early days the company has expanded its range including Yondi, the innovative head hugger that offers safety and comfort whilst travelling to kids aged 1-12.
Rob Law, Managing Director of Magmatic commented: "It's been an eventful few years and becoming BPA Members is just the next step for the company. The BPA offers an extensive list of member benefits that will certainly be helpful to us as we grow."
Peter White, Chief Executive of the BPA commented: "We are delighted to have Magmatic and Trunki on board. The BPA is for all sizes of companies and covers a diverse range of products for babies as well as small children. Trunki is a perfect example of the new breed of innovative products that are covered by the Association."
As members of the BPA, Magmatic will gain from a list of benefits including constant updates on safety standards and access to a number of free business support services such as business and legal advice and insurance, not to mention reduced rates for BPA Baby & Child; the Association’s autumn trade fair.
