More about the BPA...The finalists of the Baby Products Association’s 2018 Concept & Innovation Awards have been announced and four entrepreneurs will be presenting their new product ideas to the entire industry at Harrogate International Nursery Fair in March.
These are Charlotte Longren with an innovative new playpen design; David Gooch with Pure Teat / Eezifeed Pod – a completely new, hygienic feeding bottle; Anita Hill with the Comfyse Cushy Cushion – a device to provide combined levels of post-natal comfort; and Lee Cowan with SandSliders – a simple yet clever product to make transporting pushchairs across unstable surfaces such as sand, gravel or snow much easier.
The finalists were chosen from numerous entrants, a shortlist of which were invited to a Dragon’s Den style presentation with a panel of industry expert judges at the beginning of February. Julie Milne of the Baby Products Association explains: “The Association actively encourages innovation in the baby products industry and each year the judges are surprised by the clever ideas entered into the Concept & Innovation Awards. There were many great entries again for 2018, but these finalists were chosen because the judges believed that their product ideas filled a gap in the market and were all commercially viable. We encourage visitors to Harrogate International Nursery Fair to come along to the Concept & Innovation Stand in Hall Q to see these innovations for themselves.”
The 2018 Concept & Innovation Awards are sponsored once again by law firm 3Volution, which will be offering £1000 of free legal advice to the overall winner, and £500 to the runner up.
