More about the BPA...More than 60 members of the Baby Products Association returned to the UK with full order books, potential new distributors and lots of new industry contacts after a hugely successful exhibiting experience in the UK Pavilion at Kind und Jugend in September.
The UK Pavilion is the largest country specific pavilion at the show and has become an established feature in Hall 11.1 attracting visitors from around the world. The eye-catching union flag branding could not be missed; and free UK branded bags acted as magnets to everyone entering the halls and proved an extremely effective marketing tool as visitors proudly carried them not only in Koelnmesse, but around the streets of Cologne too.
Robert Anslow, managing director of the trade association, said: “Every year the UK Pavilion at Kind und Jugend goes from strength to strength and we received a number of requests from British companies exhibiting outside of the UK Pavilion to join us next year. We also received some extremely nice complements from international colleagues who were impressed with the Baby Products Association’s effort.”
Mike Edwards of Snugglebundl Ltd, who has participated in the UK Pavilion for a number of years, commented: “This was our best show ever. We had really good quality leads which will be very lucrative if they come to fruition. Last year we took £14,000 in the first month after the show – I expect to more than double that this year!”
However, whilst obtaining new international business is the main objective of those participating in the UK Pavilion, the chance to meet and share information with fellow exhibitors is hugely valuable too. Gavin Reay of And Design said: “We found being in the UK Pavilion a great networking opportunity and have formed one or two good joint promotion plans with other UK exhibitors which we hope will help to maximise our marketing budgets in the next few months.”
The Baby Products Association looks forward to welcoming existing and new members to join it in the UK Pavilion at Kind und Jugend from 14th to 17th September 2017.
