More about the BPA...The nursery industry is gearing up to the most important event of the year, with less than a week until Harrogate International Nursery Fair opens its doors.
This year promises to be yet another bumper event with over 150 exhibitors and more than 300 brands participating. In addition, there will be a greater international presence than ever before with a delegation of almost 40 Chinese buyers attending as well as numerous visitors and exhibitors from around Europe.
Adrian Sneyd, show organiser, comments: “Once again, the show has experienced a last minute flurry of interest with companies realising that it offers a not to be missed opportunity to boost their business in 2016. We have a surprising number of brand new exhibitors at the show this year – in fact over one third – which means that visitors can expect to find some exciting new brands and products during their visit.”
This year, exhibitors have jumped on board to offer incentives to make it even more worthwhile for retailers and buyers to attend the show with numerous show exclusive offers and discounts available on orders placed at the show. In addition, there is the chance to network with colleagues during the event and also at a free drinks reception which takes place straight after the show on Monday 21st March. This is in the Royal Hall of the Harrogate International Centre at 5.30 pm and is open to everyone – exhibitors and visitors alike.
The Baby Products Association has also organised an informative seminar programme which will provide a valuable industry insight to both manufacturers and suppliers and retailers alike. This includes a talk by market research company GfK which saw a return to value growth across core baby care and nursery products in 2015 and questions whether there is a return to premium brands; an overview of the second-hand baby goods market and how this affects new sales by the Institute of Mums; and a look at how the media landscape has changed and how to best target new parents with marketing by Generation Media.
