Help and advice on selling to China – free BPA conference

The Baby Products Association is looking to stage a UK Pavilion at the World’s largest Expo for children, baby and maternity products – CMBE China which takes place in July 2014 – and is hosting a conference in London on Tuesday 19th November for companies wishing to explore the Chinese market.
China remains a huge market for nursery products with relaxed government policies and increasing disposable income being key factors in driving demand for children’s and baby products. The population of 0-15 years in China exceeded 222 million by the end of 2012 and 16 million newborns are being added each year. After the United States, China is the second largest consumer market for babies and children’s goods with 66% of Chinese parents spending over $160 a month on baby products.
This is an exciting new market for British companies to expand into and the BPA has invited representatives from CBME China to attend the conference to explain the Chinese market fully and address any obstacles and challenges which exhibitors might face.
Companies wishing to exhibit in China, or other high growth markets, will be entitled to grants of up to £3K from the UKTi and more information about this and other exporting support will also be available.
The conference is free to attend and takes place at The Berkeley Hotel, Wilton Place, Knightsbridge, London SW1X 7RL on Tuesday 19th November at 2.30pm. The BPA’s i-Size conference takes place in the morning on the same day at this venue. Please click HERE if you would like to register to attend.
