Exhibitor Feedback 2017

"This was the busiest show we have attended. There is a great interest in new products. The potential value of the orders could be very high."

Catherine Curtis – BabyHubUK Ltd

"The Baby Products Association is a very important organisation for anyone within this industry and it is our recommendation for other members to utilise the resources offered from such a great organisation. the support and advice is invaluable."

Harry Jhamat – Eurostock Traders Ltd

"Thank you for the translating service and also the business meetings organised with the CBBC and Santander. This was a high help! Thank you again for your huge help. I could not have conceived to try China on my own and though am not sure where these initials contacts will lead, it was already really interesting in order to understand and appreciate the market over there! I'll keep growing, improving and will be even better prepared next time!"

Camille Juras – The Good Karma Company

"CBME is a great exhibition with serious Chinese  buyers and a lot visitors from Thailand, Korea and Japan. I think is the best exhibition for S.E. Asia"

Nikos Tomadakis – Manmar Ltd

"It was a good event which generated some good leads which could be of a significant value and with each enquiry capable of taking significant value orders. We were also able to use the exhibition to contact potential investors in our business."

Phil Moore – Mipi Baby Ltd

Lucrative Chinese market

Baby Products Association members arrived in the bustling city of Shanghai in July 2017 To participate in one of the world’s largest nursery trade shows – CBME Shanghai – ready to launch British brands into the lucrative Chinese baby products market.

Simon Anslow, who organises the UK Pavilion at the show, said: “CBME Shanghai is a show unlike anything else we’ve ever experienced. Buyers arrive en masse the moment the doors open and the halls and stands are heaving with visitors right up until the end of the day when the show closes.”

Participating companies in the UK Pavilion this year include TumTum, Kereso Sea Sponges, BabyHub, Mipibaby and The Good Karma Shop and all have enjoyed the support of the Department for International Trade (DIT) and the China Britain Business Council (CBBC). Simon explains: “The UK government is very keen to encourage British business to export to China where the baby products market is growing rapidly. Both organisations have been extremely helpful to exhibitors in the UK Pavilion giving presentations, arranging shop visits and bringing buyers to their stands. This is definitely a show to watch and we hope to encourage more British companies to join the UK Pavilion at CMBE Shanghai next year.”

It is imperative that companies wishing to sell to China register their brand in China and protect their intellectual property rights. Please download this IMPORTANT INFORMATION SHEET provided by The China Britain Business Council.
