Increased funding and enhanced activities for UK exhibitors

September is the culmination of many months of hard work and preparation, not only for the BPA team, but the numerous BPA members exhibiting at Kind und Jugend from 13th to 16th September – the largest nursery trade fair in Europe.
The BPA’s presence at the show is greater than ever this year, with 50 member companies exhibiting within the UK Pavilion creating a significant presence in Hall 11.1. The patriotic British branding promises to entice retailers and buyers looking for exciting new product ranges and provides the opportunity to view the very best of British nursery products all in one convenient location.
The BPA is the Accredited Trade Organisation (ATO) for UK Trade & Investment (UKTi) and is delighted to have secured 51 Trade Access Programme (TAP) grants for exhibitors at Kind und Jugend this year, both on and off the Pavilion, making international trading more accessible for the industry than ever before. In addition, the UKTi has provided the BPA with an Enhanced Activity Budget for the benefit of all UK exhibitors at the show and this includes a number of exciting new initiatives.
For the first time, we have published a UK Pavilion Directory which will be available on exhibitor stands within the Pavilion containing entries of all UK Pavilion exhibitors and a location map; plus the stand locations of other British companies exhibiting at the show. We hope that this will give visitors all of the information they need to plan their visit to the UK Pavilion and also ensures that they have the full details of companies they may wish to contact either prior to or after the event. An additional enhancement this year is the free provision of the UK Pavilion Networking Arena, the cost of which was shared by exhibitors within the Pavilion in previous years. Once again, exhibitors will receive an allocation of refreshment vouchers for use throughout the show and are encouraged to make full use of the Arena to entertain and meet with potential new clients.
The hugely popular BPA Networking Evening, which takes place at the close of the show on the first day – this year Thursday 13th – and has previously only been open to exhibitors within the UK Pavilion, will be extended to all UK exhibitors at the show as well as press, retailers and buyers. Whilst this event will begin at 6.00pm with free refreshments and nibbles served, we would encourage visitors to arrive early, allowing plenty of time to peruse the Pavilion before enjoying some great British hospitality.
