Exploring business across the pond

A group of 12 British companies will be landing in Las Vegas this week to explore export potential at one of the USA’s largest baby trade shows – ABC Kids Expo, which takes place from 18th to 21st October.
The show covers almost 1,000,000 sq ft of the Las Vegas Convention Centre, boasting 3,232 exhibitor booths and almost 12,500 visitors. This is the third year that the Baby Products Association has organised a UK Pavilion at the show and is delighted that so many members have jumped on board – in fact all of the allocated booths in the UK Pavilion have been filled.
Simon Anslow, UK Pavilion organiser, comments: “Last year, the dates of ABC Kids Expo clashed with Kind und Jugend in Cologne and consequently only three companies joined us. However, they all had an amazing show and I believe that their experience has encouraged more BPA members to dip their toes into this new market.”
Companies exhibiting in the UK Pavilion are: Bambino Mio with a range of stylish diapers and potty training essentials; Fill n Squeeze with its baby weaning pouch filling system; Jackson Reece with natural, pure products for babies and children; Moba with modern baby sleeping baskets; Snugglebundl presenting its shawl with handles and head support; Spilly Spoon with an innovative children’s medicine spoon; Sweet Dreamers with its award-winning Ewan the dream sheep; TotsBots – the UK’s leading manufacturer of cloth nappies; and Tummy with Mummy with its foldaway baby & toddler seat with a built-in tummy time feature.
Also, joining one of the BPA’s UK Pavilions for the first time are two industry service providers – the UK’s online industry newsletter – Nursery Online; and RHSM Group which offers bespoke management services to small and medium sized businesses including sales, marketing and logistics.
The BPA team will be on hand to promote the UK nursery industry, answer queries and give technical advice. They will also be hosting a networking reception on the first day of the show.
